Job Summary

The Red Hat People (HR) team in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region is looking for an HR Advisor to join us in Rome, Italy. In this role, you will support and provide HR services in Italy. You’ll learn how to support and advise associates and managers on a broad range of topics covering the entire talent life cycle. As part of the overall responsibilities, you'll support local HR initiatives in collaboration with your peers as a member of the local HR generalist team, as well as different HR programs and projects across EMEA together with other team members. As an HR Advisor, you will partner closely on all regional activities with the Senior HR Manager for Italy who is located in Milan. This role is scheduled to be filled in April 2021.

Job Responsibility:

- Cover daily standard HR administrative activities, including communication with government bodies, statutory reports, and annual documents
- Collaborate with people team operations on resignations; support the local HR team with standard pre-work on termination letters, settlement agreements, and other exit paperwork 
- Provide support in creation of internal processes and documentation for HR and Red Hat’s associates
- Provide advice and administration support to associates on associate policies and processes like maternity, paternity, parental leave, and management of exits 
- Maintain online resources, including the Source and associate communications
- Collaborate with vendors and counsels
- Participate in cross-regional HR initiatives and projects
- Provide ad hoc support on-site, partnering with other teams
- Serve as a partner and adviser for associates and managers in the country on a broad range of HR matters related to the associate life cycle with a focus on associate inquiries and HR processes

Required Skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to sense challenges and identify the next steps with the support of HR partners
- Ability to structure and coordinate multiple activities while maintaining high attention to detail
- Supportive, proactive, and service and customer-oriented 
- Fluent language skills in English and Italian
- Interested in working within the HR field; previous HR experience is a plus
- Good employment law and HR knowledge in the context of Italy
- Desire to make things happen
- International experience is a plus
- Basic labour law skills are a plus
