Within Generali, The Human Safety Net is the flagship community initiative of the Generali Group that aims to empower disadvantaged people. Programmes target different societal challenges, but share a common purpose: to unlock human potential by inspiring people to help people.

Within THSN we are looking for an Intern that will support the Head of Engagement Unit and will be responsible for:
• Enhancing worldwide volunteering activities roll-out mainly by:
+ Contributing to the employees and agents engagement through effective communication/ storytelling, best practice sharing
+ Supporting activation of Volunteering App in all the countries where THSN operates and ensuring a successful user experience/ journey
+ Supporting the organization of the first Global Volunteering Week (May-June 2020)
+ Monitoring volunteering activities and support their further development (e.g. by continuous development of volunteering activities library)
• Promoting and engaging volunteers with a specific focus on Group Head Office including the development of relevant communication plan, activities roll-out, Volunteering App management and coordination of Volunteering Week
• Preparation of 2020 Networks event with NGOs (that will take place in Venice in October), including connected planning and logistics aspects
• Strengthening the connection of volunteering with programmes and partners/NGOs community (e.g. by facilitating peer learning and interactions of partners/NGOs through the App, capacity building of local teams and partners/NGOs across the three programmes, etc…)

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have
• Master or University degree (preferably ongoing) and in social science, economics or management.
• Experience in volunteering field and working with NGOs/ not for profit organizations
• Ability to deal with digital user experience and journey
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work with tight deadlines, guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery
• Ability to manage multiple projects in global and complex environment

Soft skills
• Team worker, demonstrate a strong motivation for purpose driven activities, a clear doer mindset. Must be able to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluent (B2/C1 level) in English and Italian
• Experience with international working environment, mindful of cultural differences
