DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Group Life Actuarial Function is responsible for the activities (coordination and validation) related to the Solvency II regulation.

Within the Group Life Actuarial Function, the Validation Unit Analyst supports the validation of Group Life Technical Provisions within the Solvency II framework.

The Validation Unit Analyst is expected, inter alia, to support the Head of Validation in:
* the monitoring, challenging and validation of the Group’s Methodology defined by the Group Actuarial Function for the calculation of Life Technical Provisions (Life TP);
* the monitoring, challenging and validation of the Group’s ESG (economic scenarios generator) model adopted by the Group Actuarial Function for the calculation of the Life TP;
* the definition of the Group’s Validation framework (approach, benchmarks, reporting) to be rolled-out and adopted by all Group’s Companies in the validation of local Life TP;
* the support to Group’s Companies for the appropriate interpretation of the Group’s methodological framework for the calculation of Life TP;
* the assessment of the appropriateness of the local validation activities and outputs, also leveraging on the documentation produced by the local Calculation Units;
* the challenge of the local validation units in case of issues affecting the calculation and validation of local Life TP;
* the definition of the validation opinion of the Life TP at Group level, to be included in the Actuarial Function Report submitted to the Group’s Board of Directors.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have
* degree in actuarial sciences, economics, mathematics or other quantitative sciences;
* good spoken and written English;
* 1-5 years’ experience in the insurance industrygood and proven knowledge of Solvency II framework;
* good knowledge and experience of Life valuation metrics and actuarial models;
* good knowledge of Life insurance business, possibly in different markets;
* basic knowledge of Life insurance accounting practices and standards;
* good attitude for analytical and quantitative analysis;
* proactive approach, good problem-solving and communicational skills.
